Bio

A bit about me:

After completing my education at Columbia University and my postdoctoral fellowship at JFK Medical Center in New Jersey, I joined the staff at St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center. Four years later, I began consulting at Health South Rehabilitation Center. I opened my private practice in 2000 and returned to the staff at JFK Medical Center in 2003. The possiblity of providing in-depth services through my private practice, combined with the opportunities available in a major medical center, suits me. I continue to split my time between the two.

Issues Addressed

  • Life Changes: marriage, divorce, new baby, aging parents, or empty-nesting
  • Coping Challenges: anxiety, depression, new medical diagnosis, chronic medical conditions, physical disability, LGBTQ issues, posttraumatic stress disorder, uncontrollable worry, or chronic loneliness.
  • Skill-Building: communication skills, relationship skills, or positive parenting.
  • Cognitive Changes for no known reason, or after head trauma such as in a car accident or a fall, or after medical treatments such as chemotherapy.
